Stage 1 remap
A Stage 1 remap is software-only tuning for vehicles in standard or near-standard form. A* Vehicle Systems offers vehicle-specific Stage 1 remaps in North London, with the right checks first.
Stage 1 is the most popular starting point for tuning because it works within the standard hardware your vehicle already has.
"Stage 1" means a remap designed for a vehicle running its factory hardware — no upgraded turbo, intercooler or exhaust required. The software is calibrated to make better use of what is already there, typically improving response and usable performance, or efficiency where that is the goal.
Whether Stage 1 suits your car depends on the model, engine, condition and how you use it. We confirm all of that before recommending anything, and the work is supplied and fitted with checks before and after.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2?
Stage 1 is software-only on standard hardware. Stage 2 involves supporting hardware upgrades. We will advise which fits your vehicle and goals.
Do I need to change anything on the car first?
Usually not for Stage 1, but the vehicle should be healthy and well maintained. We check condition before any work.
Will it be reliable?
On a suitable, well-maintained vehicle a sensible Stage 1 is designed to stay within safe limits. Condition matters, which is why we check first.
